A Valued Life Can Lead You To A Life Of Joy

Withering flowers

One of the greatest lies ever told by man was, “Trust me you have time.”

-The Blueprint-

While on my lunch break I passed by a row of “Knock Out Roses.” However, what was so interesting about these flowers were just a few weeks ago they were blooming and in full stride.

But now a few weeks later, I walked by these flowers again that were so beautiful and captivating to the eye and noticed that they were now losing their luster. The peddles were falling off and some were withering and starting to brown.

Suddenly at that moment a scripture came to mind.  Peter said,“All flesh  is  as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. .”

Life is so delicate and fragile. When we are born we grow up and become indepenent, strong only to return to fragility and dependency.

How unfortunate it is that we live in a world that continues to look for life in the temporal things…things that are fleeting and whithering away. However, I think we must realize that life is not responsible for us but we are responsible for it.

I believe that any responsible person would build their lives in such a way that when the time comes to whither away, they will have more to show for it then just a heap of brown peddles (dead works).
What do I mean by dead works? Good question. Dead works are just that, things we have accomplished in this life that will not amount too much when our time has come.

God will not be impressed by the big body Mercedes’s Benz E CLASS with the dark tints, alloy rims…I know, I know I need to dream a little bit bigger but that’s all I can think of right now lol…Oh yeah with the wood grain finish that we drove or impressed by how much money we had in the bank, but He will be concerned about how much of our lives did we dedicate to keeping His will.

Did we focus on what would give our lives value or did we get hung up on volume? Did we work hard to fill our storehouses with His spiritual treasure or did we dedicate our lives to the overflowing of our earthly storehouses? Scary huh?

Believe it or not life is on the fast track. Have you looked in the mirror lately?…Ahh huh! You are not as young as you use to be?
So that which we thought was indestructible,(our youth) will eventually turn on us and become our greatest “Achilles Heel.”

But when you are living a life that can lead to Joy in Jesus Christ its okay, because we understand that the soul of a person is far more valuable then the flesh of one.

So my question, I will leave you with today is: What is valuable to you? What is it that has your attention?

So many people are missing the mark. The cross roads of life is constantly starring them in the face. However, many people will stubbornly pass by the true meaning of life, which is found in a true and lasting relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and miss the path that can lead them to eternal joy.

How tragic it is to have lived, only to have not really lived at all!!!
