This is an awesome love story…God is in the blessing business. This story shows us that real love knows no boundaries.
WAKE UP SLEEPING BEAUTY !
Are we ready as the bride of Christ to make way for our coming King? We are truly in the last days and the Ostrich must take its head out of the sand.
I know, I know the Ostrich really doesn’t bury its head in the sand but it bends its neck in an attempt to camouflage itself in order to appear hidden or as a rock to hide from its enemies instead of running for safety.
The Church in my opinion in some way has become alot like the Ostrich. We tend to stay behind the comforts of the four walls of our sanctuaries pretending as if we are not being affected by the world… We dance, we shout, we praise all the while the judicial system makes laws with little resistance or protest from the Church. They are unabated in their attempt to bring about equality…But at what cost?
The Church will suffer if we remain quiet any longer. We will find ourselves truly having an underground church because the enemies of God will have siphoned all of the biblical morality out of the earth and replaced it with combustible materials (immorality).
However, the problem is that the opponents of Jesus aren’t going away…they are digging in behind the Judicial system, digging in behind the word Unconstitutional and the phrase Separation of Church and State.
We have in some way become the silent church and soon if we are not careful the “Hidden Church.” Don’t misunderstand me here we must obey the laws but we must not participate in immorality or be voiceless on the issues.
Our world is morally deteriorating. The opponents of Jesus are trying to remove all traces of Christianity to prepare and make way for the anti-christ in my opinion . Unfortunately, while this degeneration is taking place the Church has become silent…almost hidden. There are a few people challenging the status quo but there are a lot of us with our heads buried in the sand.
Jude admonishes the Believer to contend for the faith. He says, “Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.”
Have you notice when our opponents want to change anything Christian or make changes to the world they become a united force? They protest, they make noise and somehow the world takes notice.
I am reminded that this same type of behaviour was demostrated in the Bible when the opponents of God got together in solidarity to change the course of the world once before.
Hmmm…let me think what was it called?…Umm…umm..oh yeah that’s it, The Tower of BABBLE !
The Bible said in Genesis 11:1-7, “When Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.”
These people had gotten it into their minds that with unity and hardwork they could do anything…even if possible reach heaven. We are facing that again in this age. The opponents of God feel that if they can come together in unity and unite on one accord then they can not only change the outcome of this world but also the outcome of heaven (influencing the laws of God).
So I oftern ask myself why haven’t the Church of the living God become unified against the revolutionized sect that has takin this world and the Church by storm?
Where’s the Church’s protests?
Where is the push back against the extreme measures that are putting us into a category of a social club, making a mockery out of our God?
Where are the people crying out because of blasphemers and instigators?
Maybe we have our heads buried in the sand. Maybe we have become anesthetized, totally comfortable with our present situations that we have become numb…I just don’t know what the answers are but we are in trouble.
I wonder has the Church become disenchanted or in some way cynical with God? I wonder have we lost sight of God in the wake of all the chaos and struggle? Have we the Church stopped believing in the sermons that we hear Sunday after Sunday? Have we stopped believing in the Holy Bible that we say we love so much?
I recall commenting on an article I read about the dire state of the world and how the courts are rewriting the law of God. I commented about Jesus and said, “He is coming back and we’d better get our lives in order.” I remember this vividly the person responded, “Mike I mean no disrespect but you guys have been saying that for over 2000 years now.” I followed with, “But 1000 years is but a day to God.” He said, “Oh maybe God will come in another 1000 years.” Wow I thought to myself what made him so cynical and aporetic? Had the Church been hidden to him or did he think we were being arrogant because of what we believed? Had truth spurned him because of the lack of Christ like examples in his life?
We are the Church the bride of Christ who once was a powerful voice in the community and the world. When the Church spoke people listened. But now the narrative in some circles are that we are bigots, we are arrogant, aloof, insensitive, judgemental, dinosaurs in an ever evolving world and hypocritical. We are now reduced to just charitable organizations and social clubs looking to get rich and not heralded for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and saving lives around the word.
Albeit that some of the accusations may be true this is not the Church in a whole. The entire Church of Christ is not corrupted, the Church as a whole is not stealing money and not all pastors are sleeping with their members.
It is no question that God desires holiness and righteous living. We as the church must hold each other accountable. These are issues in the Church that we must confront head on. We can’t close our eyes and wish them away. The Church is not perfect “by no stretch of the imagination.” We have our problems, we suffer with our ailments as well. I will even go further and make the argument: That our misconduct in the Church has weaken our stance in the world. However, I will also stand by this statement: The Church even with it’s hang ups is still by far the best alternative for a dying world because of Jesus Christ .
But if we let people define who we are and never correct the narrative then we allow others to shape our reality. We allow others to attempt to shape who we aren’t as well.
When I was growing up my mother would say, “Never let people speak for you, you speak for yourself.” What was she trying to teach me? She was teaching me to be present in the room. Let my voice be heard on my own terms not someone elses.
Others can’t represent you like you can respresent yourself. The same principle must be applied to the Church. It is imperative that we are present in the room. We must live and talk in an away that people will not be able to confuse the Church with the world.
The Bible says in Colossians 4:5-6, ” Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”
I believe this is why the Church must be vocal and not hidden because there are people looking at the Church of Jesus Christ and saying to themselves, “How will they respond when the heat has been turned up on them?” “What will they do when the courts have sided with immorality?” “What will they do when the Pastor has been caught in sexual sin or the Priest has been arrested for molestation?”
The Church must not be silent on these issues. The Church can no longer afford to be hidden, silent or absent. We are running out of time along with this dying world.
The time to fight is now… How do we fight? The Apostle Paul said, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
We fight through:
2. Protest and
3. Godly livivng.
We fight back when we become a living example for our children and model Jesus in front of them. We fight back when we make a real effort to raise up a godly seed.
I must warn you there will be casualties and we will suffer great loss. We may even lose this battle but I guarantee victory in the end, through the blood and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will win this war…Trust me! So prepare yourself to die to the flesh that you might live again with Jesus in the spirit.
But make the choice today to no longer be silent or hidden…Be the illumination that will bring about change or challenge the change that tries to conceal your light…
