Victorious Mindset

How It All Began

It is 7:15 a.m and I am on my way to work. I make a coffee stop at a popular fast food chain. The weather is fairly mild. However, there is no sunshine just clouds.

I don’t know if it is the weather but today I wished I could stay home in the bed. It was tough getting up this morning. I got up on time but found myself getting dressed only to lie down for an additional 10 to 15 mins because I was so tired this morning.

I don’t know how you feel but this is my story. I didn’t wake up beaming with joy, I didn’t wake up chipper but my mood was somber, reflective and ungrateful.

You know the irony of it all was I felt totally different yesterday. I was motivated, eager and overjoyed by life but some how today I felt the opposite way. Today I felt repugnant, recalcitrant and self reflective.

Wow what a difference a few hours can make in ourlives.

But before I go down the road of selfpitty and woe is me Blvd…I caught myself. I restrained my mind from controlling my feelings and had to put some things into perspective.

If you didn’t know it proper perspective is so important for one trying to see life in focus. Whenever, I find my perspective skewed I but always seem to make improper judgments about things around. So I work hard to put life and situations in proper perspective.

The day Before I was on fire!

Yes, the day before I was on fire for God. I had just released to my listeners (who I am so appreciative of) a podcast episod entitled, “Building The Mind Of Victory.”

And the reason why I share this is I must be accountable to live the advice I give to others. This is a trait I see in myself and some people that I come in contact with. We can give everyone around us life saving advice but when it comes to us we won’t follow our own advice.

This can be a troubling character trait, not practicing what we preach. It is like the person that floods your internet feed with their content but never take time to read someone else’s post. This type of behavior smells and it stinks.

So, I made up in my mind today while sitting at my desk that I must have the mind of victory. I purposed in my heart that depression, selfpitty and doubt would not control me. I purposed in my heart that I would practice what I preached.

Just because doubt and despair speaks doesn’t mean we have to listen or follow.

So I am writing this to hopefully encourage someone today that is fighting the voices around them to stand. You control your mind, feelings and behavior.

Make a choice today to have a victorious mindset.

Blessing,

Mike Anthoni

Becoming A Better Me for Jesus Christ Part 2.” on YouTube

This video is about having the desire to become a better you in Jesus Christ.  You know we should just try to become a better person in life period in my opinion?

Everyday we wake up the question should be to God, “How can I be better for you today?”

It is easy to point the finger at others. However, the only life you can change is yours.  If we want better then we must first do better.

God has really spoken to me on how important it is to take responsibility for the seed you sow.  We are always looking for a harvest.  But sometimes we don’t want to be responsible for the seed (The Work that it takes to make it happen).

We oftentimes have the tendency not to take responsibility for our actions.  If we talk to some people it is everyone elses fought but theirs.  If they would have done this my life would be better…  Well I would say to that person they didn’t do it… , “So what are you going to do with your life?”

If we want to grow in our walk with God then we must be able to look at that person in the mirror.  This can be an extremely difficult thing to do.  Confronting ourselves actually can be so intimidating sometimes.  Why?

When we truly confront ourselves we are saying, “I am ready to deal with it all (the shame, guilt, the wins and oh boy the losses).”

That person in the mirror has the capacity to do great things if we will accept our wins and build and correct our losses.

Forgiveness…The Milk For The Heart

Forgiveness is the milk for the heart. This is a hard thing to forgive.  It is hard to forgive someone that has wounded you deeply.  If the truth can be told sometimes it can be hard to forgive yourself for causing the offence.

However, this was the very premise by which  Jesus taught. Jesus taught pray for those that despitefully use you…even if they betray you with a kiss. So I pray that we will each learn to forgive in the good and bad times.

I pray that God will be able to soften our hearts where we have felt the need to build walls to protect them.

Don’t go another day feeling bitter. Let the joy and love in your heart heal some one else while it is healing you.

A Small Tip For Big Minds

You know I can find myself buzzing like a busy bee.  I am doing this thing and doing that thing but at the end of the day…I have been busy but not effective.

I think this is something we must guard against, The willingness to be busy for the sake of saying, “I am busy.”

Let us map out our lives and become more strategic in our planning and doing.

So the next time busy shows up tell busy, “you don’t have time because you are too busy being effective.”

Let’s Get Back To Being The Church (Also with Audio)

Sitting here at my desk scrolling through the blog reader I’ve come across some interesting headlines.  Some of the headlines where positive and others where not so positive.

However, the conclusion I have drawn while reading these headlines were that the church and the outside world is in trouble.

The Church in my opinion has become so self consumed with keeping sin out that we no longer recognize the speck in our own eyes.

We no longer understand that Christianity is not a club for the elite in Christ but a place for the broken, humble and the weak.

Yes, homosexuality is wrong but so is adultery, looking at people lustfully, lying, stealing and being lazy are sins as well…  I am reading alot of things that are totally lost of love.  I believe that marriage is between and man and a woman.  I believe homosexuality is not of God.

But I also believe living with a woman or a man that is not your spouse is sin, or looking at pornography…etc..  God hates all sin and I hope we remember that.

I guess I am getting tired of the all the crap that we are calling the church.  We have operated in so much anger and self-righteousness at times, all in the name of Jesus.  Have we lost the love of Christ in trying to enforce the Bible?

We should be running to open our doors for the lost sheep that have found themselves broken, lost and confused.  But it seems that we are saying if the one lost sheep doesn’t look and smell like us then you are on your own.

One of the most segregated times in our nation is on Sunday morning.  We have Black church, White church…race church.  God is not for division.  Jesus calls of the Body Of Christ not a body in Christ.

Sin is sin no matter how we cut it. But love is love that covers the cuts of sin.  What do you mean?  Good question!  I mean stop saying get away homosexual, get way drunkard and start saying come here my brother and sister and I will show you a better way.

We must be more transparent.  None of us that are saved were saved all of our lives and we had somethings that brought us to our knees as well.

Let us get back to the business of the Church and stop pointing the finger and and directing the lost back to Jesus.

He found us didn’t He?

You Were made to Fly

What an encourage read this morning. We can often allow Satan to stop our dreams, slow our purpose in God because we spend too much time trying to fulfill an agenda that God never intended for us to fill. Thanks

Daughters with Purpose

This was dropped in my spirit after reading a fellow bloggers praise report this morning. Most of us that were gifted to write, write. Whether its just journaling for our own purposes, blogging, writing poetry, or becoming an author; something on the inside of us wants to get out. The seedling has burst, it has taken root in our souls and now the branches and leaves want to reach for the Heavens.

That holds true for any calling. Whatever it is He placed on the inside of you will eventually come out. It’s the enemies job to see that whatever it is, is aborted and never sees the light of day. It’s his top priority to keep you from reaching for the Heavens and fulfilling you divine assignment. He does that with self-doubt, indecisiveness, procrastination, distractions and a whole host of other things that will take precedence over your calling…

Overcoming Pitfalls

This Episode is on Overcoming Pitfalls.  Life will offer to us many things but you can trust that you will face pitfalls.

Nehemiah faced his own set of pitfalls in rebuilding of the wall.  Pitfalls are those unsuspecting traps and snares that come in and turn our lives upside down.

In this episode I talk about how to overcome our pitfalls in our lives using the biblical text from Nehemiah.

So when your time comes you will know according to the Word of God how to overcome your pitfalls.

Join me in this teaching entitled, “Overcoming Pitfalls.”

On my 90 second spot which is a platform where I like to highlight great local talent…We are highlighting Author Pastor Charles E. Maldon’s book:

This is one of four of his books.  This is a good read.  It is so important to know who you are in God.

So check out this episode here and comment on what you think…Thanks and God bless.
