Let’s Get Back To Being The Church (Also with Audio)

Sitting here at my desk scrolling through the blog reader I’ve come across some interesting headlines.  Some of the headlines where positive and others where not so positive.

However, the conclusion I have drawn while reading these headlines were that the church and the outside world is in trouble.

The Church in my opinion has become so self consumed with keeping sin out that we no longer recognize the speck in our own eyes.

We no longer understand that Christianity is not a club for the elite in Christ but a place for the broken, humble and the weak.

Yes, homosexuality is wrong but so is adultery, looking at people lustfully, lying, stealing and being lazy are sins as well…  I am reading alot of things that are totally lost of love.  I believe that marriage is between and man and a woman.  I believe homosexuality is not of God.

But I also believe living with a woman or a man that is not your spouse is sin, or looking at pornography…etc..  God hates all sin and I hope we remember that.

I guess I am getting tired of the all the crap that we are calling the church.  We have operated in so much anger and self-righteousness at times, all in the name of Jesus.  Have we lost the love of Christ in trying to enforce the Bible?

We should be running to open our doors for the lost sheep that have found themselves broken, lost and confused.  But it seems that we are saying if the one lost sheep doesn’t look and smell like us then you are on your own.

One of the most segregated times in our nation is on Sunday morning.  We have Black church, White church…race church.  God is not for division.  Jesus calls of the Body Of Christ not a body in Christ.

Sin is sin no matter how we cut it. But love is love that covers the cuts of sin.  What do you mean?  Good question!  I mean stop saying get away homosexual, get way drunkard and start saying come here my brother and sister and I will show you a better way.

We must be more transparent.  None of us that are saved were saved all of our lives and we had somethings that brought us to our knees as well.

Let us get back to the business of the Church and stop pointing the finger and and directing the lost back to Jesus.

He found us didn’t He?

You Were made to Fly

What an encourage read this morning. We can often allow Satan to stop our dreams, slow our purpose in God because we spend too much time trying to fulfill an agenda that God never intended for us to fill. Thanks

Daughters with Purpose

This was dropped in my spirit after reading a fellow bloggers praise report this morning. Most of us that were gifted to write, write. Whether its just journaling for our own purposes, blogging, writing poetry, or becoming an author; something on the inside of us wants to get out. The seedling has burst, it has taken root in our souls and now the branches and leaves want to reach for the Heavens.

That holds true for any calling. Whatever it is He placed on the inside of you will eventually come out. It’s the enemies job to see that whatever it is, is aborted and never sees the light of day. It’s his top priority to keep you from reaching for the Heavens and fulfilling you divine assignment. He does that with self-doubt, indecisiveness, procrastination, distractions and a whole host of other things that will take precedence over your calling…

Overcoming Pitfalls

This Episode is on Overcoming Pitfalls.  Life will offer to us many things but you can trust that you will face pitfalls.

Nehemiah faced his own set of pitfalls in rebuilding of the wall.  Pitfalls are those unsuspecting traps and snares that come in and turn our lives upside down.

In this episode I talk about how to overcome our pitfalls in our lives using the biblical text from Nehemiah.

So when your time comes you will know according to the Word of God how to overcome your pitfalls.

Join me in this teaching entitled, “Overcoming Pitfalls.”

On my 90 second spot which is a platform where I like to highlight great local talent…We are highlighting Author Pastor Charles E. Maldon’s book:

This is one of four of his books.  This is a good read.  It is so important to know who you are in God.

So check out this episode here and comment on what you think…Thanks and God bless.

Devotional (Focused)

Reading my devotion.  I am trying to make sure that my focus is right.  We who are risen with Christ must seek spiritual things.

There is nothing wrong with the use of earthly things but our affections must tied to God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.  So my prayer today is that the Body Of Christ will be more Christ focused.

Strategic Thinking

Spend time thinking life through.  I have discovered that thinking with strategy in mind has become a lost art.

We will be surprised how much better our lives can become with just a little strategic thinking.

Strategic thinking entails seeing life in a way that is clear and concise (one thought at a time). This kind of thinking can be cumbersome. If you are anything like me I like to just do.

However, the just do mentality has got me in trouble often.  I have become to appreciate strategic thinking. I love to mind map.

Mind Mapping to figure out my thoughts.

When we think strategically it helps us to become more mindful of our duties and responsibilities.  Strategic thinking also helps us rid our minds of the clutter, unwanted thoughts and time wasters that only comes to slow us down.

In this post I will be dealing with only one thought technique in this post.  Okay here it is…thought technique #1.

  1. Make yourself think not react to thoughts.

This principle is easier said then done.  Thinking must be an intentional part of our lives.  This is something that I have not mastered but constantly work at.

Our minds naturally wants to save the world, go shopping, make millions and find happiness and excitement all at once.

This approach to thinking sounds good but sorry this is not reality.  My wife tells me all the time, “Mike you can’t do everything.” And you know what she is right!

This is exactly why we must make ourselves think on purpose.  We must choose a direction, vision, goal or purpose we want to flush out and go with it.

We must make ourselves think Strategic.  This type of thinking is learned, practiced and learned some more.

Well,  I am going to stop there.  I have been making my post short on purpose because I think it’s better that way.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
