Becoming A Better Me for Jesus Christ Part 2.” on YouTube

This video is about having the desire to become a better you in Jesus Christ.  You know we should just try to become a better person in life period in my opinion?

Everyday we wake up the question should be to God, “How can I be better for you today?”

It is easy to point the finger at others. However, the only life you can change is yours.  If we want better then we must first do better.

God has really spoken to me on how important it is to take responsibility for the seed you sow.  We are always looking for a harvest.  But sometimes we don’t want to be responsible for the seed (The Work that it takes to make it happen).

We oftentimes have the tendency not to take responsibility for our actions.  If we talk to some people it is everyone elses fought but theirs.  If they would have done this my life would be better…  Well I would say to that person they didn’t do it… , “So what are you going to do with your life?”

If we want to grow in our walk with God then we must be able to look at that person in the mirror.  This can be an extremely difficult thing to do.  Confronting ourselves actually can be so intimidating sometimes.  Why?

When we truly confront ourselves we are saying, “I am ready to deal with it all (the shame, guilt, the wins and oh boy the losses).”

That person in the mirror has the capacity to do great things if we will accept our wins and build and correct our losses.

Let’s Get Back To Being The Church (Also with Audio)

Sitting here at my desk scrolling through the blog reader I’ve come across some interesting headlines.  Some of the headlines where positive and others where not so positive.

However, the conclusion I have drawn while reading these headlines were that the church and the outside world is in trouble.

The Church in my opinion has become so self consumed with keeping sin out that we no longer recognize the speck in our own eyes.

We no longer understand that Christianity is not a club for the elite in Christ but a place for the broken, humble and the weak.

Yes, homosexuality is wrong but so is adultery, looking at people lustfully, lying, stealing and being lazy are sins as well…  I am reading alot of things that are totally lost of love.  I believe that marriage is between and man and a woman.  I believe homosexuality is not of God.

But I also believe living with a woman or a man that is not your spouse is sin, or looking at pornography…etc..  God hates all sin and I hope we remember that.

I guess I am getting tired of the all the crap that we are calling the church.  We have operated in so much anger and self-righteousness at times, all in the name of Jesus.  Have we lost the love of Christ in trying to enforce the Bible?

We should be running to open our doors for the lost sheep that have found themselves broken, lost and confused.  But it seems that we are saying if the one lost sheep doesn’t look and smell like us then you are on your own.

One of the most segregated times in our nation is on Sunday morning.  We have Black church, White church…race church.  God is not for division.  Jesus calls of the Body Of Christ not a body in Christ.

Sin is sin no matter how we cut it. But love is love that covers the cuts of sin.  What do you mean?  Good question!  I mean stop saying get away homosexual, get way drunkard and start saying come here my brother and sister and I will show you a better way.

We must be more transparent.  None of us that are saved were saved all of our lives and we had somethings that brought us to our knees as well.

Let us get back to the business of the Church and stop pointing the finger and and directing the lost back to Jesus.

He found us didn’t He?

Why Happiness Alone Can’t Sustain You

image

One of the happiest moments in life was when I realized that life was not defined by happiness but by joy in Jesus.-The Blueprint-

Happiness is such a controversial word in my opinion because many people find themselves imprisoned by the meaning of this word. Truly if we were to analyze happiness we would realize that it is a state of being not an absolute. Happiness is circumstantial at best.

Consequently, it is a feeling solely based on conditions, never concrete. If you were to show me 5 people that were happy…I could show you 5 more that were unhappy because of trying circumstances and events that were out of their control.

Happiness is an emotion that is always changing. It lacks depth and the deeply planted roots needed to build a stable foundation upon.
What do you mean?  Thanks for asking… Happiness says in essences if I feel happy today, if everything around me is conducive to my happiness, then guess what?… I feel happy today. But by some chance my circumstances don’t provide me an atmosphere that is conducive to my happiness. ..then somebody better watch out, now I am on the warpath because I am not happy today.

😀😀😠😠

Happiness is predicated on condition not facts. We may not feel happy today but God is still good. Fact not condition.

Consider this? We can wake up in the morning and hear the birds chirping,  the angels singing because we feel happy today.  However, if life hands us a plate of disappointments then there is a good chance that we will no longer feel happy. That is chilling right?

🀀🀀

We can’t build our proverbial houses on happiness because eventually they will colasp.

The conditions of life can and will alter our attitudes and possibly rob us of our happiness if we will allow our feelings to dictate to us the direction for our lives.

The seesaw, (The Feeling of Happiness) has claimed many marriages, friendships and has weakend our relationships with God. The feeling of euphoria that was once present when we received Jesus over time will leave us.

Have you ever heard people say, “I don’t feel saved or we have just fallen out of love?” Can I say this? Love and Salvation are not feelings they are choices. We choose to love our spouses or not. We choose to live submitted and consecrated lives to God or not.

Nehemiah had to remind the Israelites when Ezra was reading the word of God that it wasn’t a time to weep but it was a time to rejoice. He had to remind them that their strength was found in the joy of the Lord and that His words are spirit and they are alive.

We too must realize that when I am happy God has my back, when my enemies are present God has my back and when I am feeling sad God has my back.   We must realize that we are not defined by our happiness. When we dont feel happy we are still strong because we have His joy, evelasting joy! It doesn’t matter about our conditions because God never, ever changes, he is always absolute.

Nehemiah 8:10 kjv

I don’t know about you but I am striving for my well done.  I am waiting to behold the beauty of the Lord and have the chance to inquire in His temple.

So I am climbing…some days I get tired, somedays I fall and hit my knees on the stairs of life.  But we can’t stop now…the higher we climb the closer we get to beholding the greatest view ever known to man…JESUS!
